Vocational Services/Transitional Services

Woodward’s Work Study Program allows students to prepare for employment, earn high school elective credit, as well as earn hours towards their CDOS (Career Development and Occupational Studies) Credential.

Students have the opportunity to develop their vocational skills in our George Singfield Vocational Center. They engage in a variety of vocational roles such as office management, laundry services, building maintenance, marketing, and retail services.

Not only do students spend time in the vocational center, but they are able to apply for an internship. We partner with numerous businesses in the community to offer students an authentic work experience.

In the classroom, students research the career clusters as well as develop employability skills such as interviewing and resume writing.

Woodward believes that the best way to predict the future is to create it.

Woodward’s Stride Program provides students with the opportunity to explore a variety of career clusters while discovering their strengths, interests, and skills. The Stride Program is designed to teach job specific skills in an authentic environment. While working towards a high school diploma, students will gain a head start in learning both technical skills and employability skills needed for post-secondary careers. After successful completion of the Stride Program, students will be better equipped to transition into employment, further technical training, and/or attend a two or four-year college.
